What
is Remedial Massage Therapy?
Remedial
massage is a therapeutic way of relieving stressed muscles,
aches and pain, sports injuries and normal day to day wear and
tear, that occurs over different periods of time throughout
your life.
Remedial
therapy works by addressing problem areas in the muscular system,
using deep tissue massage techniques. Working on the muscles
at a deep level enables your practitioner to attend to the source
of your pain, releasing trigger points using practices such
as trigger point therapy. In releasing a trigger point, the
pain radiating from that point is also released.
Remedial
massage can be of benefit in a variety of conditions, including
(but not limited to):
-
Neck pain, upper and lower back pain,
- Hip
pain/rotation difficulties,
- Arthritis
and inflammatory conditions.

What
can Remedial Massage Therapy do for me?
Spend
less time in pain and more time doing the things you love!
Whether
you have an old injury, a sports injury, or just a stressful
life, remedial massage can assist in reducing the pain associated
with these conditions, by way of releasing trigger points and
thus ensuring that injured muscles recover their full range
of motion.
To
keep your body in excellent shape, remedial massage may also
act as a preventative therapy; in keeping your muscles and connective
tissue supple and soft, remedial massage may effectively improve
athletic performance.

| What
should I expect at my first consultation?
Each
person is unique; hence treatments are tailored to suit the
individual.
A
combination of techniques may be utilized at your appointment,
including deep tissue and relaxation massage.
As
remedial massage usually involves deep tissue work, occasionally
people may feel a little tender for the following 48hrs after
their appointment. That said, many clients bounce off the massage
table immediately feeling better than ever before.

is qualified to offer advice on a wide range of conditions.
